Brian comes to St Johns Foot Clinic with a wealth of life and clinical experience. Before training as a podiatrist, Brian served with the New Zealand Defence Forces as an infantry officer. In 1996 Brian completed his podiatry qualifications and spent a number of years working in the public and private health services in New Zealand.
In 2006 Brian relocated to Australia and worked in rural and remote Queensland for the Royal Flying Doctors Service. In this role he provided clinical services to remote communities in the Far North of the state. In 2010 he joined the Central Australian Congress where he again enjoyed working as a clinician in remote central Australia. In 2015 Brian joined the South West Hospital in Roma Queensland as their Senior Podiatrist. In early 2020 Brian moved to Launceston Tasmania with his partner and has settled here with a plan to buy a property and continue to balance work with his other passion, bush walking.
Brian has a special interest in chronic disease management in particular diabetes and vascular disease of the legs and feet. In 2019 Brian became a credentialed Wound Clinician: High risk foot with Wound Innovations Australia.
